Frequently Asked Questions

Does this treatment need to be professionally installed?

Our laundry additive antimicrobial treatments are sold direct to clients. Larger textiles like carpets require professional installation for a certified Exoban crew.

Can textile be washed after installation?

After cure, treated surfaces can be washed. Carpets and textiles have reduced effectiveness with washing so it is not recommended to wash them more frequently than bi-weekly.

Can this be installed anywhere?

Yes, these antimicrobials can be installed to almost any textile or clothing piece. Contact us for more use cases.

Are treatments non-toxic and human safe?

Our treatments leverage EPA registered and FDA food contact safe solutions.

Is this product odorless/colorless?

Yes, this treatment is odorless/colorless and will not be noticeable after installed.

Why Treat Textiles & Clothing?

Clothing and textiles are often only ever cleaned when they appear dirty or after a specific period of time. This way of cleaning doesn’t address the most dangerous element of “dirty textiles.” Textiles are often used clean surfaces, but a dirty cloth can further contaminate surfaces and in many cases, this causes more harm than good. Detergents and sanitizers only kill microbes in the moment they are applied/washed. When a textile receives contact just a few minutes later, it can become reinfected.

Exoban Is The New Clean Standard

Exoban solves the invisible, yet most difficult problem facing textiles and clothing; bacteria. Through years of research and development, Exoban has created a safe, detergent style wash additive that actively fights bacteria and microbes.

Treatable textiles and clothing include: Scrubs, linens, sheets, masks, filters, gowns, towels, rags, and anything else washable or able to receive misted solution.  Exoban textile treatments defend against bacterias and microbes when true cleanliness matters most.

Technology

Exoban’s textile and clothing treatments have been formulated for two common application types; washing and spraying. These formulations are a unique mix of proprietary antimicrobial and carrier solution. Once applied (via wash or professionally sprayed), the antimicrobial solution penetrates deep in textile fibers, protecting from bacteria and microbes for 365 days or 10 washes.
